The INDi2010 Racing Team got the season started on the right foot last weekend, with Tasha taking her usual place on the NorAm podium with a 3rd in the 10km skate on Saturday. She had good company at the top of the results sheet; Gord was fourth in the men's 15km skate just three seconds ahead of Dan who was 5th. Rhonda took a strong 13th as the 8th Canadian, while Karla was 33rd. Skeets sat out the season opener to focus on Sunday's event.

The team was not quite as sharp in Sunday's sprint competition, where Tasha again led the team with a 9th place finish, and Rhonda and Karla were 14th and 25th. Gord was the top INDi2010 man finishing in 18th, followed by Skeets in 24th and Dan in 31st.

Incredibly bad road conditions on Monday made for some adventures on the trip to the next NorAm stop in Canmore. Dan, Tasha, Rhonda and Gord managed to get through to Canmore despite a harrowing 10 hour drive on everything from deep snow to sheer ice, while Karla was stuck for the night in Golden, BC after getting turned around by the bad conditions.

NorAm competition continues on Thursday in Canmore with a pursuit event, followed by a sprint and individual classic race on the weekend. Last weekend marked the beginning of a tough string of races, which will conclude the week after Canmore with 3 more races the following week in Quebec City.
